Default What are Marriage processes for Illinois prisons

Just curious about the process. I've heard there has been some changes to what you have to do to get married in a IL prison. My friend got married 8 yrs ago & she explains it so easy & that there is a fee of like $70. My boyfriend is at Hill CC & he said they told him the process has now changed when he asked. Anyone up to date with this???

I was married at the Robinson Correctional Center in October of last year. Each facility has it own rules. I did not have to pay a fee to the center but the fee is for the licence. You would have to have him to ask the Chaplin for the information sheet of steps before he could get the application. It just so happened that my hubby completed the steps before we even considered marriage. I hope this helps but as I was told he has to get the process started.
