Default Can Felon on parole marry another felon?

A friend of mine is on parole and needs to know if marrying another felon will violate his parole?

If your friends parole conditions order he/she not be in contact with known felons, then I do not think that they can marry. At least not until their parole is up. I could be wrong though.

It would be wise to call the po and ask.

Only his PO could really answer that for him. He wouldn't have to say he's wanting to marry another felon right off when he asks. He could just ask like "Suppose I was to meet another felon and want to marry her, would I be able to?" or something like that. That would give him the best and most reliable information on whether he could or not.

Thanks for the replies,I just got word that he went ahead and got married then checked into a rehab clinic.I know the addministrator there and maybe I can talk to him next week, but I agree,he should have told his PO for sure.He may get sent back over this. But I think going to a rehab is a violation anyway, because that is like addmiting drug use.
