Default Intro--Tilly45 from Pennsylvania

I just found this site! Began this journey December 18th with the Self-Surrender of my Dad to FMC Lexington all the way from east coast VA! Two-Day trip with an overnight mid-way. It's been rough. Was blessed enough to have 1 visit thus far and planning one in two weeks. It's an 8 hour drive for me. If you have someone in FMC, feel free to Message me!

That's the bop at work, why send him to FMC Butner, NC when they can send him to Kentucky instead.

He can request a transfer, but they are hard to come by too. I must have been driven past 25 federal prisons on my way to the one I was sent to, which was 1200 miles from home. Inmates, and especially inmate's families mean absolutely nothing to them, yet they continue to get away with saying how hard they work to strengthen family bonds.

Geez! That must have been difficult!
I find it discouraging. Given that he's over 70 and his wife will be 70, she'll likely not drive herself. When I did visit, and when he calls, he always mentions her and his hopes that she will visit soon...
