Question Diet or exercise, which is harder for you?

When trying to lose weight, is dieting/eating right or exercising harder for you?

I have issues with them both unfortunately. My main problem is that Ive had previous back surgeries and currently have herniated discs so exercising without hurting my back more is very difficult. Walking is about the only thing I can do but still have restrictions on doing that.

Diet. Exercise is fun for me. It's easier for me to not eat, than to eat healthy. I'm doing good so far this year. Try working out in the pool, it's much easier on the back and joints. Good luck.

Default Both Diet/ Exercise are hard.

I would say both. You have to really have determination as
well as energy. Starting a good vitamin is very helpful. I would
also not focus on so much as this being a diet but just a healthier
lifestyle for you. That to me helps alot it conditions the brain to
not think you are punishing yourself or starving yourself.
Pre planning your menu helps alot as well. GOOD LUCK TO ALL
MY LADIES STAYING HEALTHY AND IN GOOD SHAPE.

Blessings and Grace

Excercise... eating well and making appropriate changes as needed comes pretty naturally for me and, thankfully, my childhood did not involve bad food dynamics like the "clean your plate" complex or the linking of food with comfort, love or praise.

On the flip side, I am a terrible housecat of a person and would far rather lounge in a sunbeam than get all sweaty and out of breath.

Both are equally hard. I have junk food cravings all day & everyday. Especially since he's been gone. The exercising is tough after taking care of kids & college. My boo bought me a Wii Fit w/the Wii board to start working out but, I haven't touched it in over 7months. I'm far from fat I just need to tone up. My mother suggested me taking a pole dancing class. I just might fun for me & him.

I guess I'll say dieting. I exercise 30 minutes a day now so I'm cool with that. As far as my diet goes, that's the hard part. I don't eat any red meats and I really miss that sometimes.

I think dieting is the hardest exercise to me is fun but with determination both could be equally done i have lost 35 pounds in about 3 months with exercise and dieting and i feel great and look way better i can tell the difference in my clothes and when people see me and telll me i have lost weight!!! I have to be truthful that i think is great to have a motive my motivation is my man coming home next month i wanted to make sure i looked and felt good and i dont want competition especially since is near summer..and thankfully it has helped but i def think dieting is the worst especially when u cant eat the things u like

Becoming motivated to exercise can be a challenge, but I would definitely go with dieting/healthy eating. I crave junk food all the time.

"Dieting" is a lot easier now that I learned to cook healthy, nutritious food. I love cooking, so that is fun for me. Exercise....I tend to get lazy and make excuses. Today I did good though....I did both.

dieting for me is the hardest because I am in a tight budget and I want to make sure he has everything he needs before myself when I already know.....I come before he does. Its hard for me to do myself first and then him. I love him so much!

I love comfort food and always feel better walking etc. Discipline is not my strong point. I have learned since this has been the long haul I budget shop for groceries and buy apples instead cookies. I have lost 98 pounds in 12 months and now it is easier and I can feel good. I take one day at a time in this battle .I am now a size 12 from 22-24. He loves it!
