Default Feminine products during visit

I don't see anything in their rules of what is permitted, and I have read somewhere that some prisons (not in FL) don't allow tampons. Does anyone know? Is there a limit # of pads and/or tampons?

Can you call the prison to ask them? Each one might be different

I have to admit, I have often wondered what women do about this. The smart thing of course would be to just have a machine in the women's bathroom that takes quarters, just like the vending machines.

I assume young women that come with babies keep them in with their diaper bags that they're allowed to bring and never get checked, but anyone else, maybe just keep in their pockets, since our camp doesn't check anyway, but I have thanked my lucky stars numerous times that due to a procedure (not hysterectomy) a few years ago, it is a non issue for me. I would not want to be sitting there all day in that situation, however!!

And for whomever above mentioned the woman bringing drugs in her tampon..blech!!

The facility I visit allows u to bring them in a clear bag but I believe u have to give it to the guard and ask for them as needed. I'd still call though. Might be an easier task to just go when ur not in need of those. I know the pain in the backside that can be along with disappointment, but it's either call, take a chance or reschedule

I called. Lady who answered didn't know, she transferred me and went to voicemail. Called back twice and went to voicemail twice. Sadly, because I travel by plane to visit, I book my trips weeks and advance and doesn't always work that way and rescheduling is not an option due to all the preplanning. I will try and call again tomorrow.
