JPay Kiosks and tablets coming to California Prisons?

I heard that California prisons are supposed to be getting JPay Kiosks and the inmates will have the option to purchase JPay tablets. Does anyone have any information about this?

I haven't heard of this myself and could not find any information about it online either - it would be great though ! May I ask where you heard this from ?

Someone I know heard it from somewhere and told me about it at random. It was probably just a rumor going around. That's a bummer, I was hoping it was true.

People in California can get tablets. They're ordered through walkenhorsts and are not JPay compatible.

You can buy tablets from Union Supply Direct.

They are approved for Enhanced Programs as well as :
California inmates classified as Level I or II, Privileged Group A or B, only now qualify for Union Supply's U-TAB7 Media Program.

Walkenhorst's sells them too but, Union Supply's tablet is way better in my opinion.

You are correct not JPay compatible at all .

According to JPay's customer service department, they are working on getting email into select cali prisons. Although it sounds like most people in California aren't allowed to have the tablets anyway.
