B/f said 1 year taken off his sentence, but DOC shows 2 year increase?

My fiance is doing time at Auburn Correctional Facility in New York State. He told me recently that his counselor told him he received a year off his sentence. When I look it up on the doccs website it looks like his sentence went from 5 years to 7 years?

What was his original sentence?

His original sentence was 5 years. He was due to get out 08/19/2021. After getting sentenced for a second charge the Judge stated if he plead guilty he would allow his sentence to run concurrent with his present prison term of 5 years. He took the plea deal and now his earliest release date is 05/08/2022. He told me he filed a motion and they took a year off of his sentence back on October 4th. But his counselor said that the DOCCS website is correct with the earliest release date of 05/08/2022 and the length of the sentence was moved from 5 years to 7

Hi, I am not sure what you mean by program. He stated he filed a motion and they reduced the sentence by a year. He said they reduced the 5 year sentence by a year. He also said that he is on a wait list for a program that can have his sentence reduced by another 6 months on top of the year he thinks was taken off his sentence.
