My brother is scheduled to self surrender himself to TAFT. I know nothing about this Institution. U.S. Marshalls office just sent a letter that contained two sentences indicating the institution was named TAFT and gave the address. He's self surrender date was originally October 20, 2003 which was only 3 days away, but one week ago our Attorney filed for an extension and the Judge approved a 2 month extension. So I'm thankful that we will have my brother for the Holidays.

He is scheduled to serve a 4 year sentence.

I'm trying to get the most information about this institution before he goes in. If anybody has any info on TAFT it would be greatly appreciated.

My Boo is in FCI Fairton, in New Jersey. He's been all over in the last ten years. It's sad that he worked so hard to get to Fairton, closer to home and hates it so much. I'm transfering to school in the South so we're considering having him apply to the FCI in South Georgia in the fall. Anyone got a man in either place?

I have a friend who was just transferred from FCI Ashland (KY) to FCI Oklahoma City. Does anyone have any information on this facility. I would appreciate anything and especially a mailing address for the inmates and an do's and don'ts for mail. Thanks.

Hello All,
My brother is 1000 miles away ! This is awful ! I know there are many MILES apart, and maybe we can help each other by visiting prisoners close to our areas. I have received a few nods to do this and hopefully we can work something out ?!? If you see someone reply who is close to your loved one, contact them. Lord willing we can ease the pain of the holidays for a few prisoners.

Mine was just transferred to Petersburg Med. Was suppose to be close to home in Georgia - well last time I looked at the map, Georgia and Virginia do not touch. Almost 500 miles away. Haven't been able to see him yet - counting the days.

my son is in raybrook n,y about 5 to 7 hrs away from where i live, he was waiting to hear when he would be moved because his surcurity level is fora low and raybrook is med but they told him that he has to stay there for another year, what else is new with the feds, it doesnt surprize me janice

My son is in FCI Florence. That is about 10 hours away. I try to go see him every other month. He's in prison for 10 years and he's only 21.

my baby is at the FDC Honolulu and when he is sentenced he will be shipped out to who knows where, but where ever he will go so will we.I'm behind him 110% and will be there till the end of this no matter how long.

My brother was convicted in Mississippi, but is having to serve his sentence in Ohio. This is over 950 miles from our family. My dad works and takes care of his 93 year old mother. I am in Oklahoma 1100 miles away. Is there any way to get him moved closer to home. It breaks my heart that he is so far away from everyone and can have no visitors. He has never been that far from home and we are sick with worry.

My brother is also 1000 miles away....it took 2 years to save to go see him ! Keep in close tough with him in letters and he can call you once a week. We send $ so a phone account can be set up, it's cheaper for your brother to set up an account for phone...also have any friends and family write too.......... I know it is awful and hard, but keep the Faith ! Things are about to change in the system ! FedCure to the rescue ! My BF is in FCI Sheridan but will be transferring soon hopefully closer to Ohio so I won't have to keep flying to Oregon. Within driving distance would be wonderful. Sylvia
