Help me calculate how much time he will do in Federal Prison

My boyfriend was sentenced to 30 months. how long will he serve? What about a halfway house? when does he do that?

He will serve approximately 26 months, with the last three months being in the halfway house.

about 85% of his sentence before his release, halfway house might be an option toward the end of his sentence!

It is basically boiled down to this - You get 54 days off a year for good time credit. It will vest on the last day of the mandatory part of his sentence so don't get into trouble. If he has a job on the outside you will need to get a letter of perspective employment to his counselor & have it put on his file now. This will help when it comes time for the halfway house. shrekney is correct... you will serve 26 months 4 days in BOP custody (time inside +1/2 way house time). 1/2 way house will = roughly 78 days.
