Default Released to a halfway house then home...how long until he is really home?

I am a little less than 9 months away from having my fiance back home, but we are both lost as to what to expect as this is his first offense. My man is coming home in May 2014 and I am looking now to see what steps we have to take for him to come home asap. He has been talking with his team leader and they know the closest half way house is about an hour and fifteen minutes away from our home. Also he owns his own business so we are not sure if he will be required to look for a job or have to do that whole job search thing inorder to be released form the halfway house. I am writing to ask what are the procedures when you are released to a halfway house and how are you able to be released home. Is it true that you can pay for your bed and go home while at the halfway house? Any information you may provide on the coming home procedures would be great.

Default Half-way House before Home

Great post Amber because we're in the same boat a little. He gets released from Ashland FCI Nov 2013 and isn't released from the halfway house until May 2014. But I know my man and he'll do almost anything and everything to get home to us. He wants to start his own business more than anything (even before he was locked up). But he's already been telling me that he'll get a (fast-food) job (and that is not his not like him at all -fast food) if that means for him coming home sooner. Please if there is anyone with any info that I could pass along to him on the Marion IL halfway house.
