Smile Just want to share my super idea for the video visit

Hello there,

I would like to share with you a very nice idea to share a special moment with your loved one.
Since months due to the covid-19 crisis. We have video visit, it's better than nothing. He can be at home for one hour every week, it's cool.
Last week I thought that I could try something else, I had an idea.
I downloaded the app on my cellphone, I drove to the sea.
I was scared that it was not allowed or that my networks doesn't work. I would not waste video visit
It was sooo amazing, we watched the horizon, sea, waves and birds during one hour , for once he was almost speechless. He was so happy to see scene of outside. One week later he is still smiling.
I tried and it worked.
I'm not sure that it could works to every facilities.
My love is in maximum security prison in Iowa.

I wish you a nice day.

That’s lovely thank you for sharing. I have my visits in my garden so my husband can see the trees and the sky and hear the birds. I know how important a change of scenery is .

Which App is that? My guy might get video visits as well in the not so distant future and I live like 300 feet from the Pacific here in Panama. He'd love that! Thank you for sharing!

How neat. I wish we had more time for something like that.
My babies birthday just passed and I set up the visit with a pretty background a cupcake with candles, her birthday dress and a present to open on camera. Make it feel like he was somewhat here. But we only get 15mins so I was panicking hah

On a sadder note my husband had video visits at his grand fathers funeral it meant he could be part of the service. It meant a lot to him.

Maybe a sad moment, but for a lifer this moment doesn't exist anymore, so it's a good thing that he could be part of the service. He was here for is family, priceless. Sorry for the loss, all my thoughts to your family.

That's an excellent idea! I wish I could do that or even get a picture from my girl. I can send pictures but no video visits. Its been hard and in a literal sense I have not seen my girl in over 120 days. I wont see her till she gets released since shes in camp.

I'm glad he was able to visit that way. I'm sure it meant a great deal to him. My wife's case worker let her use her office phone to call my cell in her dad's hospital room so she could pray with the family and say goodbye to him before they pulled the plug. She was permitted to have an escorted graveside visit 6 months later, with no family attending.
