I know some states dont but just fyi........

I usually dont like it at first but would rather stick to dst than keep switching back and forth.

Personally, I wish they'd leave the time alone....as do the cows & other livestock. Spring forward, get used to it, then fall back, get used to it...etc etc

In Germany / Europe it's March 31st.
Wasn't there supposed to be a ruling on that in the European Parlament this week? I'm confused, I don't care either way... we've been doing this for sooooo long and that one measly hour...

I live in one of the weird areas that doesn't switch and I love it! The only PITA is that everyone else does (1, 2 and 3 hours away just in the US) so I have to remember who is how many hours away and when they switch. And I lose an hour of sleep on visiting day. Because 4am isn't already early enough. I'm with those that say leave it alone...it works just fine.

Yesterday I learned from NPR that I (we?) have been saying it wrong forever and will likely continue to say it wrong.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is often wrongly referred to as “Daylight Savings,” with an “s” at the end. Other common variations are “Summer Time” and “Daylight-Saving Time.”

The term “Daylight Savings Time” is very commonly used, especially in Australia, Canada, and the United States. It's likely that the incorrect term “savings” entered the popular vocabulary because it's so often used in everyday contexts, like “savings account.”

Well crap I knew that Mia!
yet I slipped and did it.(saving vs savings)

I also found it interesting that the Navajo nation does not follow AZ state in ignoring it.
It was always a pita when my folks were in HI to try to remember.? Is it 2 hrs? 3?

Yeah I only learned that recently. I have no idea why or how that works but I feel bad for them. My phone has a hard enough time trying to decide what time it is because I live on the CA/AZ border. It will flip back and forth. But the Nation is inside state borders so how do they handle digital devices?

Over here in Finland we had a voting situation about this last year although I don't know how official it was.....Majority does not want the clocks to be changed any longer (=remaining in 'winter time' I believe) but they said it might take couple of years for the decision to be made actually. I am not sure though....just typing this out of my memory

I don't really care either - the changing of clocks has never affected me in anyway

I know back in Nov CA passed a prop to keep daylight SAVING time to all year round.

I absolutely HATE DST. HATE it! It screws with my psyche for a least a month. I say leave the shit alone.

I think Washington State was considering ending DST too, and I hope they will.

When I lived in Alaska, Juneau (the bosses) was two hours removed from Anchorage (the workers), so the politicians finally fixed it by making "Alaska time", where the entire state is now in the same time zone.

It became more difficult to avoid unwanted phone calls though LOL.
