Default Visiting my son today

...and frankly, I'm dreading it. Going through the detector, the impersonal and frigid manner of the COs, the dogs scare me. Plus I haven't seen him in two years due to his addiction behavior. Asking for positive thoughts from my fellow parents. Will try to make the best of it.

I hope your visit turns out to be much better than you expect. The prison visitation BS is the price you have to pay in order to see your Son. Its unfortunate but it will never change.

Thank you. It actually went quite well. He looks good. He's put on 25 lbs somehow, even with the nutritional deficit that one finds in jail because he's clean and sober. He has a window in his cell and in the common area, so he's getting sun. It was very hard to leave and I cried, but there were a few moms nearby that helped me get it together. Next time will be easier now that I know what to expect at this particular facility.

Glad it went better than you thought it might.
Its always a bit daunting and going to a new facility is stressful.
But still, glad it went well.
