Can you write to more than one inmate in the same Prison?
I do not want to do this if it's not ok.

Could someone let me know? Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to PTO. I have moved your thread to the area where you will get more responses.

As far as I know, you can write to another inmate in the same prison.

There is no official rule against doing that but I definitely would not recommend doing it as I can see it possibly causing problems. There are plenty of different prisons with inmates looking for pen-pals if you are looking to write multiple people.

My sister does. Sent cards to multiple from the card swap here and still writes to them on occasion. Most know each other and haven't said one word about it being a problem.

Most often than not when you write someone a letter in prison it ends up being more than just letter writing. Emotions get in the way and a friendship or relationship ends up forming. Inmates from my understanding are very protective of their friends and family especially when they become close. In a prison environment where there's too much testosterone going on jealousy, fear, lack of trust tends to take place and fights happen. personally i wouldn't do it.

Yeah not a smart thing to do. My brother did that once (on accident) he was writing them through a site that sends the letter for you and didn't notice they were at the same place and they both wrote back to him very angrily.

My husband has several friends in the same unit he is in that all write to the same person. There has never been a problem with it, they tend to all be happy that someone is taking the time to write or send cards. While I can understand how jealousy, anger and a whole lot of different emotions could come into play with this situation, if you are clear when you write that this is only a friendship and that you do write to several people in the same unit, then there should be no problems.
