Yeah I got a call from her yesterday and told her that we can get rid of the triple digits. She gets annoyed that I countdown. I cant help it. Shes my world.

Gonna be 3 months. Shes got this fire camp by thanksgiving she will be placed, then 2 months of kicking ass at the camp. Possible they give or take a few after that feb date, its a parole date, so Im trying to stay positive they release her.

My man's mandatory release date was in April 2020, but then he got a hot UA and a write up in September - just before his parole hearing. They took away 20 days of earned time. Pushed him back to mid May now. I just wonder what's in his head. He's added two years to his sentence from getting write ups. Some days it's an "I'll show them attitude", but I tell him he's only hurting himself. Other days it's letting the past get to him and blowing himself up. I hope your gal keeps focused on the future. What's fire camp?

Fire camps, in California, train inmates to battle wildfires. Once trained they do go out and actually fight fires.

Oh sorry to hear. That sorta stuff just keep people in. Gotta play the game different to get out.

My girl is in training for battling wild fires. They get to a low security level then approved to train to move to a camp. After training and testing if they qualify they move out. Then depending on whats going on they will be deployed daily to fight fires or contribute to flood and other forest maintenance. Said to be most physical and grueling work and sometimes they sleep in the dirt if its bad. It knocked my girls sentence down to 50% though. And of course its a chance to get respect and pass the time a little differently. Originally i thought it was just at so she could come home faster and now that shes in there i think she would do it anyways.
