I know my journey on this website isn't over but im just wanting to say thank you to everyone that has commented on my posts and offered kind words of support. I don't know how I would be coping with losing my father if I hadn't have found this website. I'm not a religious person at all but it's made me question my beliefs. Considering I don't have very good friends, whenever I have needed comfort or words of support you all have never failed me and have been there for me 100%. The time and effort you all have put in writing responses and offering words of wisdom, I have never seen such kindness from so many people. If I haven't responded to people's messages, I have read them but I've been ridiculously busy with preparing dads house. I am deeply grateful to everyone that has commented on my posts. Everyone told me that this would become my new norm and truthfully when you all first told me I didn't believe you. All i thought was as if this will ever be normal. But I was proven wrong. Visiting dad every Saturday and having him call me everyday has become the new normal and in a way it's brought us closer together. Thank you everyone for giving me strength when I was losing my shit. I know this all sounds corny and really weird but I don't think any of you guys understand how much you guys have helped me through this. Everyone on here is so supportive and I'm sorry for all of you that are going through tough times but we will all get through them together. Thank you again for your support and if anyone ever needs to chat about anything, even if it's about the weather or their puppy I'm more than happy to listen. Thank you again

We give support because we were there and we remember all too well that feeling of hanging onto our sanity by our fingernails.
We give support because no one can understand what it's like going through that process unless they've been through the process.
We give support to "pay it forward" for all the support we received when we came here with bloody fingernails and frazzled psyches, thinking no one could understand what we were dealing with.
I'm sorry you need(ed) us, and glad you found us.

I'm not sorry I need(ed) you all because this has made me think differently about humanity. There are good but they're in places you wouldn't think to look. Thank you

I agree, this "place on the Internet" of all places is really amazing. Nobody wants to be in the situation we are in, but the emotional support is fantastic
