Unhappy New Posts problems?

Has anyone else that uses "New Posts" to check pto been having problems?

I last checked for new posts at around 10:15 Saturday night. I just got done hitting "New Posts" at 12:54 today and it said "Sorry, there were no matches found." We're a very chatty bunch here so I can't believe there wasn't even 1 single post in over 12 hours.

This has happened to me a few times this last week, but there had only been a few hours between checks then. But this time I know there has to be some kind of glitch.

Just curious,
Freckles

Just wanted to post that it happened again. Last time I checked was around 5pm. It's now 7:16pm, and the post right above me in this forum had it's most recent post at 7:09pm. But New Posts said there were no matches. Aargh

If you login, 61 minutes later your new posts are going to clear, whether you read them or not.. So, while there may be 500 or more/less posts when you first login to the system, if you do not read them before 60 minutes are up from the last time you made a move (click) in the forums, they will expire.

Wow, ok that probably explains some of it. A lot of times I leave pto on and logged in while I watch tv or do housework, etc. But the couple times it happened was when I first turned the computer on. Hopefully those were just glitches since I'm not having as many problems now.

So, if I'm reading this right...if I'm planning on being on pto for a few hours (chatting, games, etc...) I need to check for new posts once every hour or I lose them. Can I ask, is there any technical reason for that being a good thing with this program? Is that how most forum boards work? I'm not complaining, just curious

I haven't had any problems in about a week now. I'm not sure why though. I'm sorry that yours is still messing up....here's to hoping your glitch clears up soon too

OK, you two jinked me

Last time I was online with PTO and checked messages was around 11am today. Just checked in now at 2:20pm and it said no new messages. I went and looked at a few forums and there are plenty of new messages there. I guess my new posts stealing gnomes are back

Now this is what I have found,if i get on PTO and stay on for half hour or so and then check new messages, well then i have some. It's just that I don't have the time to do that anymore.I sure hope this gets solved.

Well, I hate to say it, but at least I'm not alone anymore. I really was starting to think I was crazy at first.

And since this is the only forum I can easily get to, being that I've been spoiled by the handy dandy new posts button, I'm just gonna pull up a chair here and and until arrives.

If that doesn't work, I'll go to plan B and then plan C !

Freckles

PS: To Fed-X et all, I know you guys work hard on this, thanks

well that sucks, that means we would have to search ever thread, forum in order not to miss anything LOL sheesh,

i myself has had this problem more then once and not just on this forum either. That is why when people dont get many responses to their thread, i try to explain that many of us miss threads, I how ever did not know why either LOL just knew that many of us was missing posts LOL

It's gotten worse for me the last couple days also. It's the oddest thing because it doesn't do it everytime. I've still got my fingers crossed though
