Well i have been to a few different facilities so maybe giving the name of the facility might narrow it down...

http://www.cdcr.ca.gov/Visitors/docs...f=Visitor-Info

I advise following the dress code so that you don't have to be sent away to change. Also bringing an extra set of clothes (just in case) as far is dress goes many people stay on the close side and wear black mostly..: me on the other hand, I wear bright colors: pinks, purples, reds, yellows! Some facilities have been more lax with the code (like girls wear some supaaaa tight clothing, insaw a girl wear a long orange dress with an orange undershirt ;o) I would never risk it.

As for visits, in the first locations I would arrive from 8:30-10 and still get my visits terminated cuz the room was small and lots of visitors! Where we are now, we only are allowed visits every other weekend and I have the 9:30 appointment which gets me thru the entire visit... I always arrive an hour early lol to be safe which is the earliest you can arrive if you have an appointment...

I always take the full $50 that are allowed since the vending machine prices aren't the cheapest. I take $40 dollar bills and $10 in quarters.

Make sure you don't touch excessively or else you can get kicked out. I've seen it happen! Photo ducats are $2 a pop and they only accept exact change when purchasing them (in my experience)
Our facility shares tables with other visitors but I hear others get their own table? Anyway, just read through the guidelines and make sure you dress modestly. You'll be fine enjoy yourself like I said maybe having the specific faculty you'll be visiting will be more helpful so a member from there can give better insight

Ohhh lol now I see you are visiting CCF! My husband was at MCCF Delano! That place was pretty chill, we were allowed to sit right next to each other and hug a lot throughout the visit! MCCFS are smaller than the typical facility!!! It has been our favorite visiting experience out of the other 3 so far!!!

There are multiple MCCFS though but I loved their visiting! I just hated that the visiting room was so darn small!! Just dress on the safe side one thing I do is I wear all black when I'm new to visiting at that facility and then I observe what people wear to see how others dress and what is permitted. The thing is tho COS change sometimes so some are more lenient than others better safe than sorry if you are unsure about the outfit then I would say to opt for a diff option!

Take a change of clothes with you just in case. It's easier to change there than having to go shopping if the CO doesn't like what you are wearing.
