Your welcome. Trust me if he got you to do that you'd both be in some major trouble with the FEDs and you do not want that. The risks outweigh the benefits. It's safer just to say when you get settled at halfway house I'll visit you there.

Another question of you may know. He wrote his route down where all his stopping points are. couldn't I see him at the stopping points. Cause there's so many hours of delay. And than another one is once he's made it to hometown couldn't I see him before he went in to half way house ? Or is it where they actually walk him in it. Know what I mean ? I don't know how this works. I know they did midnight due to bus delays I'm sure. But if he gets there in time.

Just wait until he gets to halfway house. Do not risk it. By him writing the route down he could get in trouble and so could you. Especially if you show up to the stops.

Gotcha thank you so much for this info. I've known him for like 25 years and don't want him to do anything stupid now that he's finally getting out after so many years plus. I will make sure he goes to his counselor now and ask and I will want proof of it too. Thank you again

He will be required to follow the directions contained in his unescorted furlough instructions, exactly.

A number of members, plus one retired bop administrator have posted warnings about released prisoners who were immediately returned to a bop prison when a loved one rode on the same public bus, and/or in a car that had been approved to have a family member drive them to the HWH. Right car, right route, public bus, but one extra family member caused the bop to overreact massively, but that's how they usually operate.

If you want to meet up with him between the prison and the HWH, his bop case manager will have to include it in his furlough paperwork. Also, my HWH didn't allow visitors during the first 72 hours, although my family was allowed to drop off clothes, etc.

Same with my fiancé when he went to the HWH here. I was able to see him within the 72 hours because I was dropping clothes off to him. We avoided all issues with the HWH by following their rules. I took him to work once and they made sure it was just me in the car.

Hi I am new to this site and new to Big Sandy my husband is there he hasnt been there long and I haven't heard from him. I called and the person on the phone said the prison is on lockdown does anyone know how long this usually last and what happened I am very worried about this because he is new there and I've heard bad things. He was sentenced to a very long time and I'm just worried he's not taking it well.

No idea what exactly happened. More than likely a bad fight. Possibly coming up Tuesday of next week but we never know with this place. Welcome to our crazy world of Big Sandy where they are locked down a lot! Best thing is to write him a letter letting him know your worried and you pray he's safe and ok. I know it's hard. My inbox is always open if you want to shoot me a message.

I called Big Sandy and I was told that they're still on lockdown, but will be lifted by mid of this week because the visitors schedule is back to normal for this upcoming weekend. Finally I will be able to hear from my baby again...
