Default News article about Hepatitis C treatment in different states

"As these new and expensive drugs become the norm for treatment, its relatively certain that state prison systems will be on the hook to provide them to at least some inmates. But how many, and how much it will cost, appears to vary dramatically, according to data from a study released last week. And even at discounted prices, most states will spend millions of dollars a year just treating the worst cases of hepatitis C among inmates."

Default new hep c med out

There's a new hep c med out, approved 4 mos ago, treats all genotypes, called Epclusa, I wish there was a way my son and others could get this medication, and not have to wait till they are in an advanced state of liver disease, my only consolation is that it's a very slow progressing disease and I hope and pray this new med will be approved for ALL inmates who have hep c and want treatment .Please pray along with me.

Default

Tennessee has been treating very few hepatitis C patients but the prison system is asking for a large budget increase so they can do more.
