My son is there he said the rules are getting really bad. He just got in trouble because they didn't take out his cell mates things when he went home. Claimed he was trying to keep them and sell them after he decided he would get rid of them. I know it sounds really weird but he would have come right out and told me he was doing that. Lets face it in there anyone would have tried to make some money from it.

Well you know sometimes they do what needs to be done. So I can undertand if that were the case but to be accused of something like that is a bloody different issue

... is so strict, and really ridiculous at times, however... it still depends on who's working...

The rules there are crazy! It is the only prison that you can't hold hands!! They made our daughter change shirts because of the sleeves! and she had worn that same shirt 3 times before...and the shirt she changed into (because I always bring extras) was the same length...Crazy too that the rules change from inside the visiting room to outside the visiting room! Ugh! it drives me crazy!! But I go just about every weekend and he is an even number, and I am from Roanoke so if there is anyone going from the area...let me know!

Hey my husband is at Augusta. I live near Lynchburg. So, if anyone goes on odd days let me know. Maybe we can ride up together.

Just wanted to say, it is not the only prison that won't let you hold hands. There are many in VA that won't let you hold hands. The only contact is when he comes out, a hug and kiss and another when you have to leave. It may have been another CO, many times some CO's are just more strict than others on the dress code.

You can't hold hands across the table??? That is just wild. My husband got moved there this spring and I am finally gonna make the drive from Texas to see him. Thank you for posting stuff like this.
