Default Sheriff Joe Arpaio is no longer sherriff

Sheriff Joe lost his race. He is no longer Maricopa County Sheriff.

I just saw this, and started a letter to my cousin about it! Yay!

Great news that his brutality has finally caught up to him. True justice will be served if he is convicted of contempt of court, and has to serve his sentence wearing pink underwear while living in one of his 140 degree F tents.

No... He needs to be in one of his Max security pods where they never get to go outside. My husband spent18 months in that jail and the only time he got to go outside was when he went to court. It took an emotional toll on him that he still hasn't gotten over.

With sheriff joe, there are plenty of bad options available, each one worse than the last. I will be amazed if he is punished at all.

My husband did the same in Pinal County though not quite that long since court didn't take so long. Didn't see the sun or sky except to go to court. No rec time, no work, no programs.

My husband just laughed and said it'll be interesting to see how long he lasts without all his personal body guards!

That jerk was quoted as saying he's happy that if he gets locked up at least it'll be federal where he knows he'll get 3 meals a day - making a crack at how he only fed inmates 2x a day - he's such a jerk

That man is just mean! He seems to really enjoy torturing people! Ugh. So glad he's gone.
