Default Probation violation and jail sentences

My boyfriend just got sentenced to 20 days in jail for a probation violation. This sentence with discharge his probation and he will no longer be "on paper," as it were. He isn't going to be doing the time until the middle of october, but has already accepted the plea and is awaiting sentencing.

My main question is, when does he get ot stop seeing his p.o.? He believes now that he has taken the plea he is already done and no longer has to go in. It seems to me he wouldnt be off probation until the time that he servces the sentence.

Does anyone have an experience with this that can answer my question?

Up until the Judge and/or PO tells him its time to stop reporting, IMHO, he needs to report. Or, at the vey least, call the PO and ASK if/when he needs to report. Don't take anything for granted.

Thanks kindly. I told him he needs to talk to his lawyer... The last thing I need is him getting double violated (if that's possible) and going away on me.
