Phase 1B cancelled? Son going to halfway house instead of program & home

I have a stepson in the Havins unit in Brownwood, Tx. He is scheduled to be released in about 5 months and was just told yesterday that the Phase 1B program has been cancelled? Meaning he will have to go to a halfway house rather than ability to come home and attending his sessions on his own while living at home with us. Has anyone heard of anything? I can't find anything on the TDCJ website.

I haven't heard but you should call the programs dept in Austin or Huntsville. They will probably have the info. I hope that's not true, I think he would be in a better place at home. Keep us updated.
