Default Our Doggy went to Heaven today

I woke up this morning and when I was not greeted by my doggy, I knew something was wrong. I found him in his bed and he had passed away in his sleep. With everything else going on, this was not what I needed to find. My kids are so upset and I am trying to hold it together. We got him from a shelter, and he was such a great dog. He must have been older than what we thought. He was really special to me. He would wake me up when my blood sugar would go too low. He is going to be missed.

Oh, hun. I am so sorry to hear this. Especially when it's unexpected. I am someone who typically relates better to dogs than people. When mine passed in September it just sent me reeling. Big hugs to you and your kiddos.

Sorry, hon, so very sorry. I lost mine last month, and I (and my other dog) are just getting over it. They do tend to linger in our souls.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost one of mine on Christmas 2016. I knew he wasn't feeling well. I was planning on taking him to the vet the next day but I woke up and he was dead in my bed. Nico would have turned 14 April 5. BTW.. That is awesome that you adopted from a shelter. There are so many animals in need. I did rescue for a long time and still do some. I will never buy a dog again. I rather adopt!

Thank you all for the prayers. I did not expect this to happen. On top of everything else going on, this is that much more upsetting. Again, thank you all for your prayers.
