Default Classification board appeal

Hi,

My loved one was classed to a minimum security facility in MA (Pondville Correctional Center) this past summer, and it has been hell ever since. Prior to Pondville he was at Old COlony and went 3 years without a ticket, obtained his GED and college credits, held a steady job, completed every program available to him and ran volunteer programs. He was pretty much the golden boy of prison there. Since getting to Pondville it has been the complete opposite. He was given a ticket a month after getting to pondville because him and several other inmates were making comments about a female in a convertable they saw while being transported to work. Long story short - he went in front of the classification board last friday hoping to get into pre release and was denied because of this last ticket. They are deeming him a "threat to public safety." He is appealing it. Of course, i am upset he wasnt granted pre release, but my biggest concern is that he is up for parole July 2013, and i am petrified that this is going to severely affect their decision!

Has anyone had any similar experiences, or advice they can offer as far as how long/what the appeal process entails and how badly this will affect parole?

Thanks!!
