Default Question about Polaroids

Iím thinking of sending a pen pal a photo of myself because well, people deserve to know who theyíre talking to.

On the NYS DOC site it says no Polaroids, but thatís all Iíve got right now. It was taken on a modern Polaroid camera so it doesnít have the stuff on the back, just the typical frame around it. So I cut the frame off and now itís just like a regular printed photo except the back is black instead of white like a normal printed photo. I donít think thereíd be a problem with it getting through since you canít even tell it was once a Polaroid, but does anyone else have experience with this?

Hi, all pictures have to be printed on typing paper. So just print off your PC and send them. If they are on glossy paper, they will not be accepted. Good Luck

If you photo appears altered in any way, even the simple act of cutting the excess paper part of the photo, it will be suspect. Backs of the dense photo can be altered to slip in strips of suboxone. If happens, that’s why the no Polaroid rules.

Take your polaroids to Walmart or Lewis Drug or Walgreens or whatever you’ve got in that vein. You can scan them in and make copies on the little DIY machines. You can also send th machines your pictures off your phone or a USB.

So I just scanned a photo of myself from last year and sent it off on computer paper... but Iíve got a question about those 4x6ís: I do have photo printing paper in that size at home. Would it still get through if I printed it at home? Maybe Iím overthinking this but I just donít wanna anything to get lost forever since I have only a few recent pics

I don't think it will be an issue. I haven't done that personally. I use Snapfish and pick up at CVS.
