How will the inmates know if we sent them money or not by letting them order and bringing it their cells?

My guy sent me one of his order forms so I could see what was available. And at the top there was the amount that was in his account. I’m guessing it must have that every time they order from their cells.

The only way I ever got bop confirmation about who sent a deposit was by checking the one ATM terminal that was attached to the commissary building. It was also the only way to track monthly income earned by the inmate, and withdrawals associated with the inmate financial responsibility program. Tracking the actual amount of deposits and/or purchases was easier, since the current balances available for commissary and phone minutes are available on the phone, and are shown on each commissary receipt.

Okay y’all, I got six letters today. That’s how messed up with he mail must be over there. So, please bear with your guy if he hasn’t sent anything out. It just may not have gotten to you yet. Here’s the info about the LD I got: there was an organized demonstration in A3 and they are locked down for at least a month, he said. Cells were burned, windows broken. Of course none of this was on the news! But as promised in that original memo, they were locked down.

Smh thanks it’s probably true because I haven’t received a call today. Big sandy finds any reason to lock them down. That prevents them from having to deal with them. Worse prison we’ve dealt with in the ten years my husband has been incarcerated.

The bop's explanation for the nationwide lockdown of the prisons, which includes removing all inmate's outside communications, says this in an email from a bop spokesperson to theappeal.org: "In response to the ongoing protests across the country, the Federal Bureau of Prisons has ordered prisoners confined to their cells and stripped them of outside communications. A BOP staff member, who asked not to be identified because they feared retaliation, said that the system’s roughly 165,600 prisoners are confined to their cells or units 24 hours a day and do not get privileges such as phone, computers, and showers under this lockdown. This contrasts with the “modified lockdown” BOP implemented in March because of coronavirus. During that lockdown, prisoners were still permitted those privileges and some movement".

I posted a link to the entire appeal.org article here.

Snail mail will eventually be delivered, but lockdowns usually slow it way down.

Well ladies it's seem that BIG SANDY PRISON is the only prison that still have the Inmates on lock down. From what I heard all the prisons has lifted up the lockdown. I haven't got a call so that's the play
