Default Homecoming

It looks as if he will be released on Monday. I am not having as much anxiety about the situation any longer. There is still so much to do and these last days I am feeling a little bit lucky because I haven't had to wait the entire two years. This site has me feeling that way.

I haven't told any of my family except my son. That is such a long story and I am not sure how they will take it. My dad has cancer and I am not wanting to upset him, he is usually understanding but has not been so since the onset of the cancer.

I haven't even told his family yet. They don't ask, they don't talk to him, except for his youngest sister and he wants to surprise her.

I will keep you updated. I should say I am not sure that he will make parole but he has had no write ups this year, the home plan is approved, etc... There is still a chance that he won't so keep you prayers going, fingers crossed and whatever else can happen.

Also, I am just a girlfriend so I don't know if we won't have a stumbling block because of cohabitation. Maybe, if they allow this situation to occur, and he succeeds, this is something that can be used to support the allowance of inmates to be paroled to friends and girlfriends homes. I hope so. Something needs to change. The prisons and jails are so overcrowded and it does not seem as if anyone in WV DOC wants to do their job.(with few exceptions).

Wish me luck, I will write again on Wednesday of next week.

THIS WEEKEND FEELS AS IF IT IS A LIFETIME. I am trying not to think of the time but I keep watching the clock and the calendar. Cant help myself. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to pass the time. I am at work but the days are slow so I get to be on the internet. That is why I write so often.

Good luck with finding something to make the time go faster. My man will discharge on 4/1 but has a detainer on a probation violation in another state so he technically doesn't get to come home to me, but it still seems like these last 10 days are going to be the longest.

Default The wait is excruciatingly painful

but I couldn't imagine what it would be like with additional charges, etc... Hope you are doing well.

Okay, even though I was just a girlfriend, they let him be paroled to my house. He explains they have changed their policy about 6 months ago when halfway houses stopped taking in parolees.

Thank God he is home.

Glad he is home and glad he was able parole to your house. Not sure when the policy changed, however. Just last month a WV PTO member' daughter paroled from Lakin. They would not approve her home plan to her mother's house until the father of the parolee's two children, who had lived with her mother the entire time and cared for the kids, moved out. Additionally, the state of WV does not have halfway houses, but federal does.

Best of everything to all of you. Happy future!

I am so tired of all the hypocrisy (not sure of spelling) If it is alright to send him to my house, why not can others make those arrangements too. It seems as if it is just one excuse or another to keep down their caseloads as best as they can. In some ways I feel somewhat guilty about it, it was time something went right though. I will not argue with it. I hope others can understand.

I struggled to even get him home. The morning I was to leave, my car was spurting out the oil everywhere. Had to bum my dad's car to even go. He is not that supportive of this situation as it is. So that was not easy. Also, had to wait a long time with the baby to even see the board. They granted parole, ended up having to sleep in the car as the money I had saved was to be spent on fixing my car. I was exhausted by the time we made it home. He has no clothes but I will scrounge up some tomorrow. We are struggling but we are alright for now. It is a day by day thing.

Also my brother lives with me on the conditions he is not to drink at my home He was dog drunk when we arrived. Not sure if drunk stupid people is a parole violation but I figure it does not help. It is literally one thing or another. I wanted to ask him to leave but I don't because he has no where else he can go. My dad is sick and can't deal with his stupidity. I have way too much going on right now.

I am still trying to take everything in stride, This parole officer is more thorough, seems better than the last one so that is a good thing. Also other things are going right but I am afraid to say as I don't want to jinx anything.

Anyway, thanx for following up, it is good to know someone is listening.
