Default Up for Parole 2nd time: Can Board use same reason (ex. habitual offender)?

Hi! My name is Vicky. My fiance is in prison and he just put his paperwork in to see the parole board after a 2 year flop and i was wondering if anyone knows weather or not if the parole board can use something like say habitual offender more than once? Any responses would be VERY helpful, please and thank you.

I suppose it depends on the agency, but repeat offenses demonstrate a lack of rehabilitation. I know someone who is repeatedly told that his past is keeping him from parole grant so at least in his case, yes-- it is his habitual offending that is keeping him behind bars. In that case, there's not much he can do to change it but rather focus on being able to demonstrate serious insight and prevention plan work.

When he went up for parole 2 years ago, he scored really high on elgibale for parole scale, he has done the classes he was missing last time and they consider him a "Model Prisoner", SO, i guess i will see how this one plays out. Thank you so much..

We're facing our first hearing so I'm starting to pick up on the anxiety and anticipation feelings that come with this process. I wish you both luck and please let us know how it turns out.
