Default Question about drug test

Today in our Evansville courier and press they have a article that in over 500 drug testings that the evidence gave a wrong test result. So if that being the case. Wouldn't it mean that some convictions are sentenced based on false evidence?

The Indianapolis stations just had the same information on it and the anticipation is that there will be challenges over this. It did not specify what the time period was though.

I first saw it on WRTV her in Indy. The article is written by Tim Evans and Mark Alesia for the Indianapolis Star.

These were tests done from 2007-2009, and of the approximately 2000 tests done, about 10% were errors. So, approximately 200 tests were false positives. This only applied to the tests done for marijuana, and in many cases the law doesn't differentiate between real and false. It sometimes means that if you think you're buying, selling, using marijuana, then legally you are. A rough estimate is that 3-5% of the convictions will be overturned.
