Ohhhhh man the number of times I’ve seen her doubled over in laughter or tears streaming down faces or people laughing so hard they couldn’t breathe.... she was truly a gift. I am lucky to have several family photos of these occasions.

She was an intensely fascinating person with a seemingly endless vocabulary, and patience like I’ve never seen. I was thankful to see her almost every weekend for the last two months and we had a chance to really laugh before it got too hard. She has an infectious spirit, and I miss her dearly.

Thank you all so much. It’s much nicer to grieve with others who can share her memory.

About PTO

Especially given that your profile states that you have an incarcerated brother. I suppose she wanted her privacy (on a public website, no less

) Or that she didn't want to feel inhibited in any way by having family peeking in on her......nah, that ain't it....I highly doubt nim would feel inhibited by anyone's presence and would make her preference known to the family (to be or not to be on PTO, that is not the question, but is rather contingent on nimuay's preference about your presence to be or not to be on PTO)

Its late & I'm getting slap-happy / silly....its off to color in my coloring book for a while before going to bed

Our dear and unbelievably missed nim looked to have the effervescence that we all knew she had. Some times I think back to funny things she wrote and now I can picture the laugh that must have accompanied such phrases! What a beauty and truly a heart to match.

Now, if only I could have told her how much I love the print on her blouse.

Thank you again sharing and letting us see a glimpse of the woman we loved and respected so very much.

Missing Nim especially much today.
I used to always comment on the Kentucky Derby horse race.

I know today, she would have had a strong opinion of the historical race.
And I always enjoyed our conversations surrounding the races, especially in the Triple crown races.
Would have loved loved to hear her input for todays race.

Dang I miss her.

I am so sorry, I haven't been on here for a while and this news is just devastating.
Nim was like my old friend Elsa, who you know from the card swaps and I am sure Elsa would have been there with open arms to welcome Nim.
Love and hugs to all affected by this awful news and love to her family and friends offline too.
She was a Legend and will be remembered for a long,long time.

My heart and thoughts go out to her family, friends, and everyone here. Shows how incredibly precious life is and to be grateful every day, especially when we have the chance to meet other's that provide support and guidance.

Missing you today and wishing I could shoot you a PM about my day with the horses and ask if you had any advice on relaxing a nervous, adult sheep so she can keep her "job" in a petting pen. I've been tasked with counseling her and I really want to do well. Something tells me you'd have a few words to share.

Someone mentioned nim's name in a post today and it made me smile. Somehow I ended up here, in this thread and sad....until I gazed into her eyes (picture on previous page), those twinkling, mischievous eyes

Makes ya wonder what she's been up to since leaving this life

I think about nimuay often and my mind automatically drifts to „what she would have said” when I read/hear people in difficult situations.

And the horsie talk. It is missed.
