OHIO STATE PENITENTIARY Guards Charged with Assault

Four Ohio State Penitentiary Guards were charged with assault Tuesday ... no way ... guards assault prisoners ... oh my !!!! <grrrrrrrrrrrrr> They were arrested during change of shift on Tuesday -- a non-visiting day -- at OSP, too bad, I would have loved to have been there. They were handcuffed and taken into custody upon leaving work. Awwwwwwwwwww ... Too bad all the inmates could have been on the yard to see it !!!! Sorry about being so cynical, but articles like former Lucasville guard, Larry Dotson got published in The Portsmouth Daily Times last week against Mr. Lynd and against the play that he is touring Ohio with to try to bring awareness to the tragedy perpetrated by the ODOC and the State of Ohio during the Lucasville trials, condemning the beatings that the officers took at that time ... (see my other Lucasville posts) like guards never attack inmates .... HUH !!!! The state of Ohio and families of inmates need to rally behind the stirrings the play is making because it's one way to get the message out about how abhorribly inmates are treated !! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Check out the related articles below ....

We need to leave comments on situations like this. People need to see that there are loved ones who care about inmates and want to hold c/o's accountable

AMEN Ravenslove !!!! Inmates are people too, and contrary to some popular opinion, they DO have rights and don't deserve to be phsically abused -- the abuse they endure on a daily basis, by the simple fact of the conditions they live in is abuse enough.

We all need to take a stand and use situations like this to air our support of our loved ones !!!!

I agree there needs to be many,many comments when things like this happen so it doesn't fall under the radar. Everyone needs to know that things like this go on and won't ever change unless the people involved are held accountable for their actions!
