Default Food poisoning at NWFRC/NWFRC Annex?

Does anyone know an update on the situation at NWFRC and NWFRC Annex that led to the cancellation of viso at those camps last weekend? The bus between there and my husband's camp didn't run this AM either...since he's waiting on a transfer, we're wondering how long before things might be back to normal?

The last time I recall something this big happening was when the norovirus was circulating. I hope for the sake of our loved one's that they keep them there until whatever it is has run it's course. Food poisoning doesn't last that long.

Speaking from experience I can say that a decent case of food poisoning can leave you unable to eat properly and feeling under the weather for literally weeks. I'll never look at a chicken sandwich the same way again.

That said...from looking at the inmate population website, it looks like things are getting back to normal at NWFRC/Annex because they have shifted population back into the main unit again. This is good to hear because I know a bunch of inmate movement to/from NWFRC was cancelled Friday and Monday...if that continued it was going to really clog up the system of transfers! Hopefully they will be getting back to normal at moving people through now.

You know....inmates in Fl get pure s**t for meals, and some how they get food poisoning on top of that. There are very strict rules for food handlers in this country. I hope they found the source. Food Poisoning can be serious if the inmune system is compromised, and I suspect almost every inmate has that problem to one degree or another. I would love to see the day that the powers that be discover inmates are people.

There's no official confirmation that the issue was food poisoning. A board member posted that it was but we don't know the source. If it was in fact a stomach bug causing the problem at NWFRC it could have been anything from food poisoning to flu to norovirus.
