I watched this presentation and was impressed. I like the way they referred to prisoners after release as returning citizens. It is so true that a job makes a huge impact and is such an influence on whether someone can successfully transition. I wish that more states/ people were this forward thinking and open minded. I believe it would reduce recidivism.

I just attended the Dave's Killer Bread Second Chance Summit in Atlanta. There was a display & signup sheet for people that wanted more info on having a showing of the film. I also met Danielle Sweat Whiley who is with the Attorney General's office. She actually showed the pre-release film to people at some of the Georgia prisons.

It was refreshing & encouraging to see the people on the other side, who usually put people inside, promoting the need to rehabilitate & prepare those being released. Let's hope the movement continues because the need is great.
