Just saw a recipe for these meatballs.
They used premade ones and put them in a biscuit (the canned ones) along with some mozzarella cheese and I think a tad of marinara, squish the biscuit around the meatball, put some melted butter, italian spices and garlic salt bake fro 20 min and
ta da.
They look so yummy

I have this old tattered betty crocker paperback cook book that is falling apart. lol.
I keep both parts together with a rubber band.

I know you can use recipes online but I prefer a book or a printout.
There IS this one page I love....I forget now exactly what the name of it is but its something like......
What I have in my cupboard.
Lets you figure out a meal with what you have at home.

(of course i seem to always need to go to the store around the corner but.....)

Seriously now... we have 98°F right now, I don't even know what to eat, what I'm hungry for and I will not cook. It's too flipping hot. Someone please hand me a wet & cold towel, I'll chew on that...

I made a grilled cheese yesterday and I had already ice cream for lunch
I'll stop by my grocery store on the way home, the store is very very cold and I could linger for a while... ;-)

I won't get mind until next month. There are Facebook groups that share tons of recipes and Pinterest too.

There are inserts you can buy as well, including a second insert.

So I had french fries for dinner, was going to grill burgers but my building is being pressure cleaned today so I had to empty my patio and find a place for everything and by the time I was done I didn't feel to hungry. So today is burgers and potato salad. I'm going to buy a gas grill I hardly ever grill because of having to light charcoal takes forever. Plus it's a bitch to clean out it must be dumped in the trash can. I used to dump the ashes in the garden and the manager had a fit(she's ignorant) tried to tell her it's good for the soil but forget it, she thinks I'm making the dirt dirty!!!LOL

**she thinks I'm making the dirt dirty!!!LOL***

Muahaha

personally I love a gas grill. I use mine all the time.
(note of regret on my part) If the grill you get has the *flap thingys* over the flame thingys........buy more when you buy the grill. Mine always disolve and rust away. NO matter what I do.
Replacement ones seem to vanish when you need them and the generic ones dont fit quite right.

Im gonna do that next time.

Well I did grill the steaks yesterday. Sort of a bummer because hub didnt come home til around 8:30.
My son's ex FINALLY left.

Son said he told her they are NOT getting back together prior to her coming over.
I just wish she'd get all her crap and get it gone!
I know it ticks off my son that she still has her stuff in his room, and that she wont take it.

So I try not to hound him about it.

just glad he's not into her any longer. Way way way too much baggage.

I just made pasta with zucchini, broccoli, sliced grape tomatoes, and a ton of garlic. Hint of butter and heavy cream. Hit the spot! I didn't eat too much of it either. Lunch for the next few days

I made slow roasted ribs last night that literally fell off the bone! So good! Before that was marinated chicken tacos (meat comes from a local store) with a can of el pato and a whole bunch of cilantro and lime. Almost jealous I sent the rest with the Fiance for lunch.

Im going to your house!! Yum.
gotta think of something to make for dinner tonight.

Had leftovers from the steaks I grilled the day before.
Ug. This is the part I hate. Figuring out what to make.

Wanna use my instant pot again here soon. Maybe I'll ask hub to go buy some cut of meat to cook in it.

Well after a hectic day with my hub looking for paperwork, talking with his sister and two different agencies to work out his drivers license (another thread.......gaaaaah frustrating)
He never made it to the store.
I did end up using the pressure cooker. Took out totally frozen chicken parts...added a bit of this and that and dumped a half a small jar of Mango chutney in it, and turned it on.

lol.
Came out pretty good. Made rice on the side.

I almost want to go on a diet so I have a set plan. Thursday I'm going to a few different food places to stock up. down to 1 package of ground beef and on chicken. the rest of freezer is veggies on frozen cheese. Getting back into my baking mode, my neighbor keeps after me to do it professionally. Just don't want to be stuck cooking or baking stuff I don't eat. The closest place I could work out of is all country fattening crap food. I can't make my self eat there as I get sick even looking at the stuff they make.

I never want to see food or get on a scale again.

It was a celebration so dumb husband bought too much rich food.

For breakfast, he pre - ordered a leek and Emmental quiche from a patisserie. He picked up a pistachio danish for me and some mixed ones for he and my mother. He got Turkish coffee for me too.

It was his job to get cake. He pre - ordered 2 [instead of 1 ; indecisive ... ] from the same place. Their names were cute! The „ Chanel ” was a raspberry soaked sponge, with more raspberry glaze and pistachio cream. Delicious.

The „ Mata Hari ” was a mousse cake based off a dacquoise. Sounds light? No. Rich, rich, rich. The dacquoise was coconut flavoured but there was a papaya jam with mango and coconut mousse! Delicious... but ... fattening. I liked this one best.

That was saved for company but to stare at them in the fridge? O my...

For dinner, he took me to a French restaurant. I had risotto with the cutest mushrooms I’ve ever seen! It had candied walnuts and black truffles too and a new to me cheese : Crocodile. Like the villager I am I thought what ? They make cheese from crocodiles? How?

Good thinking I checked cheese info cause I found out it is cow’s milk cheese from Alsace...

My husband had beef tenderloin with some pretentious looking vegetables . He ordered the caviar. Gross. But buckwheat bliny are a favourite of his ... but ewwwwww.

I had a very different interpretation of pavlova for dessert. Concord grape sorbet is a new favourite. I ordered some coffee concoction of white chocolate liqueur, cherry liqueur, vanilla ice cream and crème de cacao.

Then I ordered Marrakech mint tea since it has been so long I had a good cup .. and I love it!

He had torte sacher.

We had a cheese plate of 3 cheeses we select: Crocodile, Brebiou and Mimolette. They came with walnut scones and apple butter for tasting ... and I feel fat again now.

Add in some bubbly, and since I don’t drink very often [never now, especially] I had a bad case of the giggles. Every thing was funny to me !

When we got home to company [and those 2 cakes] I regretted it all. Opened gifts, had MORE cake... sigh....

So, no more food. I need to get this new damned 2 kg off. Rice cakes & celery only ... but there’s a bit of cake left for breakfast.
