Prior to the hurricane the guys were told they would be off lockdown on Tuesday (today), hopefully that happens but I'm not sure the extent of the damage in the Coleman area. If I hear anything I'll post an update!

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any information about the inmates in Coleman. My love is in USP 1 but I would love to hear any update from someone in either building of the complex. He's currently in seg and doesn't have phone privileges so I wasn't able to check on him before the hurricane or after. He can absolutely take care of himself but BOP obviously didn't evacuate them so I just want to know if conditions are bad or they're all safe. Any info would be super appreciated and put my mind at ease. Letters are taking longer of course because of conditions. Thank you so much!!! Hope all your loved ones are safe and sound.

I spoke on the phone with my LO last night, he is at USP 2 and all seemed to be well there. Luckily the storm had downgraded by the time it hit their area

No problem! I know how stressful it can be to wait for answers so I try to help calm the nerves of others whenever I can

Supposedly visits are cancelled this weekend. When I called earlier the guy said visits are cancelled and that he had no idea when they would be off lockdown. Also, thr machine says no visits this weekend.

No problem! He didn't say why, the e-mail was pretty short, I know there had been a few fights so that could be why.

Yea they are being punished for the fights. I think this happened because some guy was on the news and stated that DHO is expunging too many shots when inmates needed isolation. So now they are all being punished. How stupid.

Ughh. I don't understand why they think LockDowns solve anything

I know it's a bit crazy but my guy said he enjoys lockdowns sometimes as long as they don't last too long. He hates the not being able to shower regularly but likes the peace for a few days. He thinks they are harder on us than them. Especially when we have no idea what's going on.

I think lockdowns help cool things off if there has been a lot of tension. That doesn't mean that I don't hate them, because I do! I was hoping to visit this weekend too.. oh well. He doesn't like them because we can't talk but he gets a lot of art done during lockdown

This is such a long lockdown I was hoping they would get out today. Something pretty big must have happened.
