Red face Jmail: anyone know about this service? Are they trustworthy?:

I just signed up with Jail mail online and sent a letter to my friend in Arizona. Does anyone know about this service? I mean are they trustworthy?:

yes, they are legit. I use it, and it works like a charm. I experienced first hand, that they have a good customer service as well. There are several more members on PTO that use the service.

I've been using it for years and so far a really great experience. If you should run into a problem with them you can also contact them via Facebook (besides on their homepage), their response time is fast. I only use it for writing though, not for receiving.

Anyone know why their account got suspended? Have they changed name or something?

Sorry for any panic and confusion I may have caused, it wasn't Jmail that had their account suspended, close though, it's jailmail that got suspended!

I use it all the time to send pictures because it's more convenient for me. He says some a little blury but they are still beautiful!! I just wish they would make it easier to fit the picture in the little square!!

Hi there! Do you mail to the East Coast or West Coast? Just asking because our West Coast location has a photo printer similar to a kiosk like you would see at a Target or Walmart so those photos come out really well. They are totally smudge and scratch resistant and are always a 100% duplicate of what is submitted. Our East Coast office prints Ink Jet photos on HP Photo Paper, so it may be possible for smudges to occur on that printer. We of course want our photo service to be top notch so we appreciate your feedback.

From our experience, most times when a photo comes out blurry, its because the user submitted a photo that was too small (not saying that's what you did). But many times people will submit photos that are smaller than 4x6 so when the image is then stretched to fit 4x6 distortion occurs. So just make sure your photos are at least 4x6 or bigger when you upload them.

Also we will see what we can do about the photo box Is it too small on mobile or on your desktop? Thanks for your feedback, and don't hesitate to send us a support message on the website any time with improvement ideas.

Finally, in response to the OP. There is an app out there called Jail Mail App, please note that this app is not Jmail and not run by Jmail. They copied and pasted a lot of our content including our TOS to create their app, but they are not Jmail.

Thanks!

I did my homework before I signed up with them. I couldn't be happier. Their customer service is exceptional. If I send them a question or an issue with downliading, they've always gotten backto me within the hour. If they can't figure out the problem, they always havs gotten back to me in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.

I believe so, it's just an online mailing service. They just send the letter out like you would send it out except printed.

They are great for sending letters! For a yearly fee you can use Jmail as your return address. Then every received letter will cost you money but still a good idea if you do not want to give out your home address. Any prison that accepts regular letters will accept Jmail letters.

If they are printing and sending it out what is the benefit? Im assuming faster if one is overseas but is there another benefit? Thanks.

For overseas users it is cheaper and quicker to use jmail and you can send photos and pdf documents.

For users in the USA it can save a trip to the post office as they mail the letter for you , it saves having to have envelopes paper and stamps.

Hi you can pay by paypal or by credit or debit card. Check your card and if it doesnt work contact there customer support to see if there is a technical issue. My card payment went through fine today.
