Default Almost 5 years home

I wanted to say hi to everyone and thank prison talk and everyone who helped me through the 3 years I did with my MWI. This site really helped me do the time with him. We married 9 months after he was home. We have been married 4 years in September and we are still going strong. The first year home had its ups and downs. I thought at times we may not make it. I told him what my boundaries were before he came home and when he came home. He did 8.5 and had to adjust to the world again. He was stressed from that and stressed about work. He found work, but we all know how that is minimum wage jobs, that work you to death with no benefits. C is smart and motivated and after 2 years started his own business. He is doing very well for us. Praise God !! I have been a professional my whole life and he is happy to be making an equal salary. I think the reason why we have done well together is he has stayed the course, pushed through much rejection and adversity and keeps right on keeping on. We have grown children, we love each other, we discuss with each other when we are upset about something and are thankful for everyday we are alive and together.
Basically..No Drama !! Amen !! My advice to anyone who finds themselves in a MWI relationship is : Go with your Gut !! If something doesn't feel right, sound right, look right then it aint right !! Most of all, LOVE YOURSELF first. Be treated the way you want or need to be treated. If the other person cant or wont do that, walk away !! Love to all you strong woman and men !!
