Working on Live Video Streams from the PTO National Conference
We understand that there will likely be a great many people who would like to attend the conference but won't be able to for one reason or another. For you I am starting to work on the logistics of steaming the conference live from at least one camera, if not more, depending on the available bandwidth.
This is something that I have wanted to do since the very first conference; however, it was much to costly for us to afford at that time. Now with the advent of video distribution sites such as www.justin.tv , we really only have to worry about the local computer equipment and bandwidth needs to distribute our conference live to thousands of people.
So, if all goes right, anyone who wants to view the conference live anywhere in the world will be able to do so. For those who are busy on the conference date(s), we will be uploading video clips of individual speakers and events post-conference for everyone to download and watch at their leisure.
I will be report more on this prior to the conference on the status and where you will need to go to watch. We may also explore the possibility of allowing an online view Q&A session where those watching live can ask questions and have them responded to. This is dependant on the platform we use and its features.

WAY cool! Will it be recordable for future uses or uploaded onto PTO?
Definitely. I'll probably have one or two video cameras (maybe 1 High Def) to go along with the web cams. If I can integrate them into the web cast, I will use the video cameras.. If not, the web cams are definitely workable. I setup a stream the other night on Justin.tv right from my laptop within a matter of minutes.
