Is this a medication that you need to keep with you? Here in california you have to have a note from your doctor giving permission to take it with you but the CO's hold it. For example I take insulin but when I need it I have to go where they are holding it to be able to take some. I am not allowed to carry it with me at all. Which is understandable.

Not at all. As long it is a perscription from you doctor you would never have to worry. But they do not test anyone who visits here in California. I doubt they do in any other states as well.

They do test at some prisons in MO. I would get a note from your Dr. that the dontrol drug is prescribed to you. It doesn't mean that you will test positive because of the way they test, but if you do at least you might be able to fight it.

As long as there is no residue on your hands or clothing, you should be fine. Just to be safe, have a note from the doctor with you in case you do test positive. They would offer you a visit behind glass anyway if you did test positive. I am not sure they test those that are already having visits behind glass, but it's possible.

They drug test at Pacific-MECC- (Following the guidelines outlined above by Christy! They TEST everyone who walks in the door at MECC, BEFORE finding out the status of the person you are visiting!!

All prisons in Missouri use the itemiser testing. Since you are visiting behind the glass anyway, it shouldn't matter. If you do test positive, your visit would be no-contact so it is not a change for you.

Not all are using them yet. There are a few that don't...possibly getting them. These things are a waste of money! I watched someone bring in drugs one day after she passed the itemiser. They are a joke.

We were at MECC in Pacific about two weeks ago and they still had theirs, anyone know if they're still using it? Just curious!
