So I have a new filly, just coming 3. I'm the first and only to ride her. She's a jewel! However my hubby worries sick about me with her breaking her myself. I'm not as young as I used to be lol but I have more determination then ever. I started her ground work in August. It was slow since I work lots and visit him. But here we are making progress. I'm proud of her....and me
All that she and I have been thro, today was the very first time she threw me!! Ugh I can hear my cowboy now saying 'I told you so....hire some help till I get home'. Well NO!! I want this filly ready now and I'm going to get her done
I hurt! Lol warm bath time
This will be a cowgirl story he never hears lol

Right!! It's been super windy here in Texas and she's just old enough to be super aware and I think she just got spooked. I'm still not real sure. We went out with her anxious and that didn't help. She had pitched a time or 2 but I reckon I let my guard down too soon. Back to the round pen!
Green and fresh fillies make for interesting rides from time to time. In my case, I have a soft spot for ornery mares so I expect to have troubles from time to time. But, congrats on the progress with your filly so far!

Same happened to me once! Sad fact is that I should have listened to the mare when she said NO!
