Default Any info on the FPC Atlanta (Next to the USP?)

We found out today that my husband will report directly to the camp in Atlanta (I guess this is the one next to the USP).

Does anyone have any information on this camp? We both have a few questions before he self reports in a few days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Default My son is there too.

My son is there. I only know because he is on inmate locator. He hasn't called. I've called the prison. It's a joke. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE EVER!! I've called at all hours of the day and night. I've emailed. I've even emailed the BoP. It's like my kid fell off the planet. I'm so worried.

Welcome to Prison Talk. If it is his first bop prison, it will take awhile for him to be able to call you. He must first see his counselor, which can turn out to be delayed, submit a list of phone numbers he will be allowed to call, wait for the list to be approved and entered into the camp's phone computer, and finally wait to receive his 9 digit phone pin number in the mail.

Then he can call you collect, or if he has money in his inmate account he can use the phone and pin # to transfer money to purchase prepaid phone minutes. Until that happens, you will have to connect through snail mail letters.

Some counselors allow new arrivals to call home from their office, but not all of them do.
