I'm home sick with the cold...AGAIN! This is the second one in TWO BLASTED WEEKS! I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. So folks, please share your favorite cold remedy that works. Right now I'm resting, taking in LOTS of fluids but want to go back to work tomorrow.

For the life in me...I can't remember the type of 'root' that is suppose to be good (boil it to make tea)! lol

Try asking in the Native American area...they may have some good ones!

I am sick and tired of being sick to...it's like never ending this year!

People seem to NOT want to use their SICK days for when they are sick...They choose to come in, save those sick days, get everyone else sick...then take off and enjoy themselves with the sick days (for instance shopping, visiting, etc)! But you all don't do that...right?

My favourite cure is to drink large quantities of single malt scotch...does not do anything for the cold but I feel much better.

I haven't had a cold or a flu for a few years now, same with my kids.
It's really simple what I do...eat healthy foods, drink lots of water, and get lots of sleep.
Let your body go through the cold, in other words don't get medications, cough syrups, etc....they just weaken your immune system for the next batch going around.

Thera-flu works like a charm! But then, Phil's remedy seems to work as well, however, I wonder if it's because one "forgets" they have a cold

Hot tang!! really I think drinking hot liguids like tea, chicken broth, etc helps but with tang you get the vitamin C. I swear by this!

I have to use my vacation time for sick time. I get no designated sick time because all the time earned goes into one big bank, otherwise known as Paid Time Off. So if I have to take sick time, it cuts into my vacation time. BUMMERS!!!

Thera Flu definitely, but the hottest craze is Aiborne. Created by a school teacher. It doesn't stay on the shelves down here.

A friend swears by a long hot soak in the tub drinking the best gin you can buy. Personally, I like Jack or Jim. By the time you're done, who cares if you're sick and ya sleep like a baby.

I am miserable,I haven't been sick like this in years with a high fever and all! My doc says its the flu and the main things that will help are REST and tylenol for the fever, she also gave me cough syrup so I can sleep at night thank goodness

I am going to try every one of these methods this weekend and hope I feel better by Monday!!
