Federal Bureau of Prisons Covid -19 (Corona Virus) news & information. Please use this forum to share information concerning Covid -19 in the Federal Prison System. Please do not discuss individuals who have the virus.
Have been religiously checking the BOP daily Covid-19 list. Today, I see that Seagoville (where my LO is) has its first confirmed case.
Has anyone heard from a LO serving there? My friend is in SHU and now I'm more concerned than ever!
Thanks for any info!

My dad is there and said as of yesterday the staff was wearing masks. My dads unit was issued masks last week so hes been wearing his but he said the staff hadn't been wearing them until yesterday. He wasn't sure what building the case was from but I know not his which is RDAP unit.

I read that the inmate was in the low security (not camp) and was immediately "isolated" in the SHU. My LO has 6 more days in the SHU! I'm just hoping they are really keeping the man, whose infected, totally away from others!

I read, on a Facebook group, that the Seagoville "case" had already tested positive when he was transferred from Dallas County. Seagoville would still have no cases if they hadn't brought this man in. My LO called last night and confirmed he had been transferred in from county.

Ever since a confirmed case, was transferred onto the Seagoville compound, the daily-updated page has shown that one case. Today, Seagoville isn't listed at all!
Does anyone, with ties to Seagoville, know what happened? Did that inmate get transferred back out?
This is all very confusing (and worrisome) to me!
Thanks for any/all insights!

The inmate recovered from the virus so is no longer listed. The bop updated their website today and it now shows Seagoville again but the inmate is under inmates recovered.
