Go to Pa State Corrections. It has an inmate locator. You need to know at least first and last name. Inmate number is helpful. It will also give you a map to the prison if you want.

Minersville as it is called in the Prison systerm is located in Pottsville, Pacoming from new york or anywhere from the east the easy way would be 78 west till you hit Pa 61 north.
Minersville was opened in late 1990 early 1991, It is a state of the art facility metal bed's mattress of course, push button toilets, individul cells. the control center is dead smack in the middle and they control everything from there they can see every cell from where they are located, It's not a bad prison to be in if you have to be somewhere.
Hope this helps somewhat.

This a quote frfom a former inmate who now runs a consulting firm in NewYork to help lawyers get a lenient sentence for Inmates.
“You are no longer a defendant at this point in time,” he said. “You’re an inmate. and it’s time to own the experience and accept full responsibility for the fact that your choices put you in this position. And it’s your attitude that will make or break it for you.”
Monday through Friday, Waksal’s wake up call in prison will come at 6 a.m. He’ll have to report for work at 7:30 a.m. Quitting time is 3:30 p.m. By 8:30 p.m., Waksal has to be back in his cubicle. And then it’s lights out at 11:30 p.m.
“It’s a scary thing to wake up in your bed one morning and go to sleep that night in a prison,” said Novak. “I, quite frankly, am at a loss with respect to the language to describe the emotional impact that can have on an individual.”

Red face

My brother is in FCI schuylkill. We live in NJ and drive to see him every weekend. Its a 3 hr. drive from where we live. He is in the camp there. I was so happy to see that he was in such a decent place. He was first put in FCI in Philly. The visting routine is so much differnt. You can sit right next to your loved one. Hug and Kiss them. It a very relaxed situation. Even the other families and inmates all seem to have a feeling of kinship with one another. We are all getting through this rough period of life together. When he was in Philly he was so stressed out and always depressed. Now that he was transferred to Schuylkill I see such a remarkable change in his attitude. Not that its easy to be there or that he isnt depressed from just finding his life turned upside down from the bad choices he made. Its just a better enviorment which makes for a better chance to change. Hope that I could have been of some help.
Sandy

Exclamation Where do women go?

If found guilty I will be charged mandatory 3 years, so no less, and up to 10 years.

First offense, it all happened in one night.
I do not have alcohol or drug problems.
from what I read sound as if that would be helpful now with Camp?
I live between Harrisburg and Philly, closer to Philly, but main thing is I do or might have quite bit of time, and I am so green.
have good lawyer, but who knows, but guess could help with prison.
Which would be best for the very small, and petite, pretty, and once had very good career, all lost now, since I was counselor with private group.
Truly talk about one moment changing whole life.

Please, I am so lost, and right now recovering from bad head and internal injuries, but I am alive.
I was in trauma Unit for week, stopped breathing on own for couple days, I had amnesia, wish I could have been one to pass.
Oh, God, I am going to be biggest cry baby, I will not make it, I know I won't.
I wonder if better that I deal with it, rather than no control.
Will anyone hear me, help me, care?
I loss so much brothers to sudden death, accidents, husband to divorce, children to him, but I never hurt another, this is way out of my territory.

Please tell me, where will I be, which is one to have lawyer ask for?

Thank you.

kcs_chocolate,

Try Pottsville Motor Inn...... (570) 622-4917

Located in Minersville... I believe they offer discounts to those visiting.

Visiting Hours:

FCI: Thur - Mon. and Fed Holidays 08:30 am - 3:00 pm

Camp: Sat/Sun and Fed Holidays 08:30am - 3:00 pm

Both use a points system and you can learn more at WWW.BOP.gov

Keep the Faith

Michael

Hi

Listen take a deep breath and tell me if you are going to the camp.
My son has been in Schuylkill for 2 years it's not that bad he saids no-one looks for trouble due to the fact that the the other prison which is down the road is worth. So all they have to do is look at the bob wires and it reminds them to stay clean the food is pretty decent and you have no bars. if you have any questions please feel free to PM me and I be glad to help

Does anyone know the best medium security prisons? I'm looking for one with air conditioning, good food, low violence and opportunity to get a GED and job training. I hope I'm not expecting too much lol. I don't have much time to figure it out my BF has to submit his top 3 wish list in a month. THANK YOU!
