Default gen info

My husband had an uncle that died in Moundsville named Bill Kerns and I helped an elderly woman send money to a man named Eugene Clawson when he was transferred to Mt. Olive. This lady use to work with a church group there at the prison. Just wondering if anyone remembered any info about these two men.

Inbetween escapes, Donald spent much of his time running a bookie operation, mostly for bets on football games.

Searching through the DOC locator, I've found a few old timers but not many. Shorty Brewster, Ronald Williams, but that's about all the ones I recognized by name. I'm sure there are others. Also found James Worthington, one of Donald's escape partners, on the Federal Prison locator.

Anyway, Donald is doing time in Connecticut, and I live in San Francisco. So it takes a few weeks for us to pass information back and forth, but I will definitley pass the information about Ronald onto Donald. Thanks again.

PS: MY brother's full name is Donald Williamson.

I am looking for information on a guy names Curtis Renforth who was in Moundsville Pen and Im not sure if his nickname was from there or just the family but he went by slufoot. I am doing a family history and wanted to know if anyone had any info or knew him. thanks

Three of my uncles did time at Moundsville. Andy, Durwood and Dillard Wright. Durwood did the most time. Andy was the youngest and had the distinction of being shot during an escape attempt. He survived a round into the back and out the chest.
This would have been late 60s or very early 70s. They were all really great guys. One thing was that they appreciated children, having been locked up and away from them, including in Dillard's case his own, and would treat us kids like humans instead of some nuisance.
I was wondering if anyone here remembered them.

Did anyone know a joe Adams or may have gone by Joel or joey? I'm interested in my fathers prison stays. He would have been at moundsville between 1960 and 1980 and previously did time in Huntington (I believe) He is gone now and it is so hard to find records. Or does anyone know where I can possibly get old records?

The poster you are trying to contact has not been online here in 6 years.

I do however hope you find your answers.
