Does that mean he is hurt? Ugh I'm so anxious.
He just got transferred on Tuesday. I don't know how any of this works or when I'll be able to make visits.... Really hurting here.
Any advice or help would be so nice...
Hey, my fiancé has the same address and no I don't believe that is infirmary. It's a regular dorm unit. My fiancé has been there a little over a month. If you were already approved while he was in reception than the approval form follows. My fiancé got transferred on a Wednesday night and I was there that Saturday morning at 8am to visit. It was behind the glass because he was still in the one-week orientation process. Call Tuesday/Thursday for visiting information I believe they answer the lines between 10am and 1pm.

Also, when he first got in there, I called the records department and they told me all his dorm and bed info so I could get my mail sent directly to him. As of right now, I know facility/yard B is currently on lockdown so visiting is prob not happening until that lockdown is lifted. Hope this helps!

How do you contact someone at Susanville to find out what release date an inmate has?

I moved your post to the new to ccc thread.
You might try checking this sticky post and go to the bottom, there is a pdf file that may give you a phone number.

Not sure if they would tell you or not, but maybe you could ask the inmate what his release date is. They should tell him.....

Hi, my husband has already been classified and was transferred from county to CCC Susanville. Does anyone know if how long after training do they get transferred to a camp? Also can they get visits while training ???

Hello, I am new to all this as well. we're still down here in Tracy, but I just got the news today at visit, that he is going for 4-6 weeks but then he'll be able to transfer back down here to a camp.. Now is that even possible?
Thank you..

Did you ever get the answer to this question? I am in the EXACT spot now as you were in June. He was transferred from county and has been in Arnold for about 2 weeks now. I would like to go see him, but I am not sure how it works. Do I need to fill out a visiting application? Does he have visits in training?

pretty sure you need to be approved for visiting regardless.
Have him send you a signed visitors form.
Not sure about the rest tho. Hopefully someone will come along and respond.

C is where I've been writing "SHU" or ( isolation and 2 man cells ) a level of security that is leveled for transfer out or disciplinary in nature. Perhaps protective for some. I am unsure.

I can tell you phone calls are not part of the plan. When he finally received his stationary, and envelope packages I had sent each month it was more than 4 at once after none having been released to him for over 6 months. I always sent in stamps in letter's , not in the packages. Those he had received as they were sent.

I am still new to this after almost 2 years, so forgive my descriptions of the yard/unit Hope this helped answer a piece of your question.

No, not yet, but I did get a letter. My hubby said he can get calls once he gets off of orientation which will be when he goes to committee. There's only 6 phones on the yard and they need to sign up for the phones a week in advance.

My BF was at Susanville for training but he got transferred once he completed everything. Fire camp is so awesome for how "chill" they are but I literally have to go 7 days to 30 days without hearing from him because of active fires. During fire season.. This has been so rough.

It may be due to the transfer that they do what I refer to as mini reception.
(to sort of see how he's doing, adjusting etc)
But that seems like a long time. (over 2 weeks)

He should have been able to send a letter. Your mail will take longer to get to him, obviously.
Will they at least give you his housing?

The visiting is not too bad. However it does get crowded pretty fast on Saturdays an I've had my visit terminated once for over crowding. they have quarter machines in the lobby. The two best hotels are the red lion an best western in susanville.
