Default CCC Release Q&A

Does anyone know if when they are released from CCC does the Lasen transport taken them to the Reno Greyhound station or the Sacramento Greyhound Station?

Thanks!

Well, now that my hubby is home I can answer this question for the next person that comes along. They drop them off in RENO and stay with them till they get on a Greyhound bus OR the Amtrak line to Sacramento. The train costs $88.00.

Yes. If there is no one there to pick them up they go to Reno like I said above.

Default Release Time and Location CCC 2017

I thought this may be helpful to others as the previous posts are old. I just talked to the release office regarding our LO who is getting out very soon. All information following is from them. To contact the release office by phone call the main number at 530.257.2181 and enter extension 4462. The officer I talked to was very reasonable and confirmed our LO's release clothes were there waiting for him. Release time is 5:45 AM !! You need to be at the visitor processing station parking lot by that time if you are picking up. If not, they will be transported by van to the Reno AmTrak station which is scheduled to leave at 6:00 AM. They are brought there and will be put on the train or possibly a bus. If you are picking up at CCC and miss them then go to the AmTrak station and hopefully you will find them there.

The released person receives a $200 debit card, instructions and their parole clothes that morning. They are brought to the small visitor processing building and released to their family/friend there. This building is just inside and to the right of the guard shack on the main entrance driveway leading up to the prison. Make sure you have a valid, state issued ID with you or they will not release your LO to you. Tell the guard you are picking up and be prepared with their CDC number and show ID if requested. Pass the guard shack and turn immediately right into the small gravel parking lot. If officers are in this building let them know who you are waiting for. Its possible no one is there but the officer at the guard shack should have notified those at release office that your LO has a ride waiting for them. That is where you will pick them up. Hope this is how it actually goes and that this update helps others.
