Default He got a job

I'm so happy that my boyfriend got a job. It's part time with possibility to be full time, but I'm still proud of him. They also always have extra hours. This is definitely a change from how he used to get money. I'm glad he has learned that's not the way. Fast money isn't always good money. Now he wants us to get joint bank accounts so his check can go direct deposit. He says he's giving his check to me since I am the one who does all the "legal stuff." I'm not gonna take all his money...I will take half though. Lol

That is great news. The biggest thing to overcome is the employment problem. So happy he found something that gives him a chance.

Congrats to him. Hope that helps cool some of the other activity for you both.

Awesome news and it should be a great sense of accomplishment for him, even if it's only baby steps!

Congrats that he found employment.

Be careful getting a joint account. If you put money into it too, if he owes anyone for fines, restitution, or other past debts, they will take your money too. If he can get his own account, it is better for him as it builds up his credit. If he can't then move out your half from the joint account to your separate account each pay day.

I thought I had cleaned up all my son's stuff. Then, a city court fine that has been accumulating interest since 2009 suddenly showed up. It was one that did not show on an internet search of that state's court system because the municipal courts don't contribute to that system. So over $500 we didn't know about, showed up 9 years later.
